"Distributing menstrual products to people in need."
PERIOD distributes free menstrual products to communities in need. See the FAQs on the Service page to learn about how to become a service partner to receive products.
In 2020, Period distributed over 5 million menstrual products to menstruators globally.

“Providing educational resources for menstruators and allies to explore intersectional approaches to menstrual equity and justice.”
Menstrual equity requires a fight against period poverty and stigma. PERIOD hopes to empower local activists with educational opportunities, such as grassroots training and mentorship, to find an approach that is compatible with the community they are serving. We hope that our expansive global network can be a tool for young activists to learn how to best serve those experiencing period poverty in their respective communities.
PERIOD has volunteer chapters and partners in 49 states and in over 50 countries.

"Advocating for systemic change through policy & legislation."
PERIOD works with the fundamental ethic that period rights are human rights. We believe menstruators - whether in school, prison, jail, or any public place - deserve safe and accessible period management products. The menstrual movement is a youth-led movement, where we hope to amplify the voices of young activists in their efforts to make systemic change to combat period poverty. (Photo Credit to Jin Lee.)
